WHY MAVERICKS?

‘Mavericks’ is a world-famous Northern California Surfing destination, home to some of the biggest waves in the world. Mavericks Wellness was named after the owner’s love of the ocean, and its healing capabilities. Additionally, the ocean is linked to the lymphatic system as every cell in our bodies are literally bathed in lymphatic fluid. In Ayurvedic medicine, the lymphatic system is known to be the most important system in the body, referring to lymph as ‘Rasa’ or the ‘water of life.’ In Ayurvedic practice the lymphatic system is said to be the central system that feeds all other systems because it is the ocean of the body.
